Great rental place and the staff are brilliant especially the lad on the front desk, I would highly recommend Europcar for hassle free rental

Initially gave a five star review as could not have been more pleased with the service i received from Europcar throughout my 56 day rental. However the day after I returned my car (having rented it for 2 28 day terms back to back) I was informed by my bank that a direct debit had been returned because Europcar had attempted to claim a 600 payment from my debit card (my 28 day rentail price had been 370). I was informed by Europcar that this was a deposit!!!! Even though I had returned the vehicle the previous day and ended my rental. Europcar attempted to deliver a new car to me the same day - without my asking them to. My bank couldn't reverse the payment as it was a pending authorisation and Europcar flatly refused to do anything about it for 10 working days even though their error at charging me a deposit for a car I had neither asked for nor wanted meant that I was unable to pay my rent. This was an extremely upsetting and stressful experience and it was the threat of POLICE ACTION!!!!!! that finally got someone at Europcar to manually reverse the deposit taken. I don't know how the confusion arose but it was enough to make me think twice before using this company again. Mistakes happen but it should not take the threat of legal action to force a company to admit they were in the wrong and return the funds taken without my consent or prior notification.

We picked up our car very clean and the staff was fabulous, great wee car thank you so much, but 1 question why is it so much more money than a standard car, yos have the cars why charge more, but as I said very good car and great people
